Castle Cover Strengthen their Motor Insurance Panel

Prestige and Chaucer are the latest two insurers to join the blue chip panel, which already comprises AXA, Highway, Groupama, Provident and Royal & Sun Alliance.

Since launching in July 2006 as a specialist provider of home and motor insurance to the 50 Plus market, Castle Cover has grown at a rapid pace. The Poole based company has nearly 200,000 policyholders and employs over 20.

Castle Cover launched on 31st July 2006 as a new entrant in the ever growing over 50's general insurance market. Castle Cover is the third major brand within the fifty plus insurance market.

Castle Cover is led by well-known industry expert, Andrew Marchington and is backed by HSBC Bank and Asset Ventures Ltd., part of the family investment vehicle that controls Primary Group, the Bermuda based insurance distributor.

Castle Cover hopes to hit a turnover of £100m and sign up over half a million customers by 2011.

Castle Cover has the advantage of launching with a blue chip panel that includes AXA, RSA and AIG giving a great advantage in neither being tied to one supplier, nor owned by an Insurer.

Castle Cover believes the over 50's can get a better deal on Insurance and therefore believe the company can carry on their rapid success within the market place. The over 50s are more likely to be careful with their homes and possessions and less likely to exaggerate or make up insurance claims, making them low risk.
